Get app support unavailable when trying to link Spotify/Alexa from iphone7+, can it be corrected?

We jusy got an Alexa, and can't connect spotify to it. Keep getting "app support unavailable." Are we missing something obvious, or is there some secret way to connect the phone and Alexa?

Idk if you solved this issue, but I was having problems with the alexa app on my phone. I had to login to the alexa app on my laptop and link my account through that. Should be a work-around the problem. Here is the link: https://alexa.amazon.com

Thanks! This worked.  However, it's worth noting that once linked it says that you require a Spotify Premium account to use Spotify with Alexa 😕  Foiled again. dang nabbit!
