HOW CAN I STOP SPOTIFY FROM ADDING THEIR OWN SONGS??

My Question or Issue

So i’ve just joined and i’ve been looking everywhere for an answer (the contact us form was HORRIBLE with an automated answer to search the answer page). I just added a song to my playlist and spotify immediately added their own songs! how do i stop this? it’s extreemely annoying, and i’ve heard it’s also a problem for those with premium. please can i get a legitimate answer and not an automated one? thanks.

No,  Even with that setting off Spotify adds "recommended" songs into MY playlist automatically  It's infuriating. 

Spotify: WHYYYY?!?  You made the app start changing my damn playlist playback without any setting to turn off that stupidity! 

"autoplay" wanting to play songs after I've listened to my entire playlist is one thing - and I can and did turn that off - this new nonsense is worse.. just interjecting songs.  I created a playlist I like - quit messing with it!

there is no “enchance” button and im still getting the reccomendations. just remove the feature all together its annoying.

Adding 15 songs doesnt work. the we added songs are still there. remove the feature or give us a way to turn it OFF.

I just got on here because I’ve been having the same issue with my Spotify premium and what I just figured out, is that there are two shuffle modes: regular shuffle and a Spotify “recommended” songs shuffle.  So you have to click on the shuffle button until you get the icon without stars and I think (and really, really, really hope!) this will eliminate Spotify adding lousy tracks to my playlists.

Why? So we can suffer? It’s obvious that you guys did it so we can buy premium (which is kinda reasonable considering that’s how you make your money) but isn’t this to much, the endless ads, 6 skips per hour, you can only see the lyrics 5 times per month, the stupid shuffle button, losing the repeat button, having to scroll through 10 useless tutorials on how to restart my playlist, isn’t this enough? To get people to buy your dumb premium, adding random features that makes it more difficult to listen to music in peace if you don’t have premium and taking away features and move it away to premium. Before this I was thinking of buying premium not anymore I’ll use it on something that’s worth the money like Apple Music your honestly just pushing away your users, hope your happy.

Yeah this is all around an awful feature. I have more than 20 songs in my playlist, but it adds songs anyways.

This. It makes me furious. Not that long ago it allowed me to turn it off. Now, even though I pay for premium, it doesn’t. I came here for a solution, instead i got confirmation. I’m looking for a new audio player.

I think they call it smart shuffle. Why they think anyone would need or want this function is beyond me. People make playlists so ensure they are listening to the music they like or want to, not to be bombarded with music Spotify thinks you would like and is usually wrong!

There used to be, they’ve changed it again…now toggle the shuffle button and get rid of smart shuffle!

Every 4th song plays something random issue? I think automix is the setting your talking about.

I might not have noticed, but the songs Spotify adds to my playlists are so bad, it is obvious which have been added. A lot of the time it is ghost artists that spotify creates themselves. It is really annoying!
