How can I find friends without Facebook

I want to find my friends on Spotify but none of them have Facebook. I have tried searching just their username as well as spotify:user:username and neither method has worked. How can I find them?

P.S. I have an iPhone SE if that helps

Hey @amw11, welcome to the Community.

Hope you are doing great!

You can find your friends using several methods. One of them being that they share a playlist or their profile URL, you can open it up and then follow them.

To search them by username ask them to check their exact username on their account page as well.

Thank you for answering, but as I mentioned the spotify:user:username method is not working, on either my Mac or my iPhone. When I try, it just gives me an error message. Is there any other way to find friends? I know that in the old Spotify, you could just look up their name in the search bar and they'd give you a list of profiles, but they don't allow you to do that anymore for whatever reason.
