How do I stop song from desktop version appear on Spotify app, when I switch devices?

My Question or Issue

When I switch from my Desktop version to the Spotify app on iPhone the song that I paused on appears on the app and this is super annoying especially when I put an artist on shuffle on the Spotify app. It never used to do this and I wish it would go back to this. Is there a way?

Thank you for your post in the Community.

This is an expected behavior if the two devices are on the same network/connection.

To work around this you can use a different network/connection on the device you're switching to.
