How to turn off podcast video in the mobile app?

Ever since the Ramsey Show Highlights added video it causes subsequent podcast in the “Your Epidodes” list to not play. I send Spotify to the background, but the video embedded Ramsey podcast still kills the other podcast episodes. It is worse and more prevalent when I am at the far end of my WI-FI network.

I don’t have any issues with just audio based podcasts.

these suggestions are ABSOLUTELY not helpful, we all know this feature (for whatever reason) will never be implemented (just like the removal of gender stars on german spotify, which a LOT of people requested) and your own "solutions" simply do not work..

Probably shouting into the void here, but I'm another parent who hates that we can't disable ALL video playback in Spotify. I try to keep my kids away from the brain rot on YouTube, only to discover that Spotify offers a loophole allowing them to find it via Podcast Video. And you can only disable it when on cellular data. I want to turn it off completely. Why is this not an option in settings?

I'd recommend you all contact Spotify Support via Chat to relay this feedback, just to cover your bases. I just did. If enough of us threaten to drop our subscriptions, maybe they'll listen. All they need to do is add a toggle button in Settings to 'Disable ALL video'. It should be simple, right?

I think bad ratings for missing the "turn off video" feature on google play or apple store helps faster.
