I am a confirmed premium user but I'm still getting ads.

Hey there!

While Spotify doesn’t play ads that interrupt the music listening experience of Premium subscribers, some podcasts may include advertising, host-read endorsements, or sponsorship messages.

Can you confirm for us if you're getting ads in podcasts or in music?

If you hear ad breaks in your playlists, this would not be expected and we'll try our best to solve it. We'd recommend starting by  logging out > restarting your device > logging back in to sync up your subscription status with your device.

While listening to podcasts there r commercials interruptions.
It wasn’t the case in the past.

As a **paid Spotify subscriber**, why am I STILL drowning in ads during podcasts? I’m not paying a monthly fee just to sit through the same obnoxious interruptions over and over. This is beyond unacceptable. Fix your service or stop charging people for a "premium" experience that's anything but!

Can you please assist? Recently we've had adverts pop up in between podcasts and every now and then, songs. The ads are not a part of the podcast as they are in Korean. I bought a duo membership for my husband and I but can't understand why we are getting ads. I have followed the logout and reset procedure but to to no avail- there are the add again:(

Har samme problemet. Vurderer å kutte ut Spotify å gå over til youtube music. Har premium dær å dær er det ingen reklame. Irritere vettet av mæ når man er mitt i en podcast, så kommer det reklame. I too am hearing adverts, although only between Goalhanger podcasts. There are often adverts at the beginning and midway through the podcast, but a separate 30 second advert between each episode? Is this a Goalhanger thing?

I listen to The Rest Is History which has its own ‘ads’ however I now have unrelated ads even though I’ve paid for premium. Today I had to listen to about 8 ads before my podcast began. Not happy.

Hi Elena, 

recently we changed who pays for our family plan. Originally I paid and I had no ads playing before during or after podcasts. Late last year another family member took over the payments and since then I have had Spotify ads (they stop the podcast and load an entire ad in) load almost every time I click on a podcast. I have even had this occur mis podcast it tends to be 2-3 ~5-10second ads each time. Very frustrating. I need to emphasise this is not the podcast hosts doing their own endorsements this is Spotify loading ads (time bar, visuals etc)

Had Spotify premium for years. Now playing ads between (not within, between, comes up with a title of the advert as if it were a song) podcasts. How to stop this?

Is this thread being monitored by Spotify anymore?

Yesterday I started getting adverts both in between podcasts and in the middle of podcasts (mid sentence, not during a break like before). These adverts come up as the company advertised (Xero, Expedia, etc.) with their own images, so it's not embedded in the podcast. There's up to three or four of them in a row sometimes. As a Premium Duo member I'm really unhappy that the feature I'm paying for isn't working.

Hey team, Premium users are now getting ads, what is this madness? I do not give a n F about banking apps, I pay good money to not listen to this trash from advertisers.

I'm on Premium Family plan, and have been for many years.

On Monday, I added my daughter as the sixth slot on my family account.

Since then, I started getting served ads when listening on my phone. I assume they are the standard spotify ads (Not sure as haven't seen one for many years!). They cut in at regular intervals, display an image on phone screen and can be skipped forward 15 seconds. Usually 2-4 play in succession.

I tried logging in and logging out. I am monitoring to see if it happens when playing in laptop - hasn't yet

I assume this is some kind of bug, any ideas how I can get it sorted?
