Hi, taking your mobile device will work - just make sure you have an internet connection, and you will need a premium account to use Spotify on a mobile device.

I have premium but there will be no internet where i am going so will need to be offline. I also dont want to use my phone.

Then you will need to ensure that you have downladed all playlists to the device beforehand. Please tell me - which type of iPod are you talking about? iPod touch? You should use the Spotify iOS app.
