Is it possible to stop Spotify from raising my volume?

My Question or Issue

I'm always either playing music on my phone or my laptop, and I like that I'm able to switch between them effortlessly. However, whenever I switch from my phone to my laptop, my phone adopts the volume bar in my laptop's Spotify, which is always on max volume. This means that if I'm looking at something on Snapchat or Instagram, I get blasted in the face by full volume noise. I don't want to lower the volume on my laptop Spotify because that would just mean that I have to raise the overall volume on my laptop. Is there a way to maintain the connectivity of Spotify between the laptop and iPhone, but to disable the phone from adopting the volume of my laptop's Spotify volume?
