Local Files

Local files is a jumbled mess. There’s no organization outside of playlists, which also lack organization (a separate issue), not to mention it’s fundamentally broken. Even after taking all steps to ensure that local files work properly, after adding them to a playlist from DESKTOP, most files will randomly not show up on my MOBILE. The files work on mobile from the local files list, but mine is over 2000 files, hence why the playlist is necessary to work as an organizational tool. The only way to make these files play on mobile is to manually re add them in the mobile device from local files to the playlist, which is an INSANELY DIFFICULT AND TE CONSUMING TASK ON MOBILE, hence why I did it for on my DESKTOP in the first place. Hours of work spent only to be forced to do hours or worse??

this was after a fresh install, so latest version/reinstalling/clearing the cache isn’t a proper response, already done. 

TLDR: Files that work from Local Files list on mobile randomly (50%) Grey in pc/desktop created playlist, files work if readded to playlist on mobile from local files folder.

I made this post once before and it was moved to another post as a comment in the android board, which is useless considering this is an iOS issue. Community board moderators you have failed at your job, leave this post alone, let me do the thinking (I’m obviously better at it). 

once again Spotify needs to consider hiring me to fix your failing company. You can start by firing your Ui staff and stop donating to death drones so my favorite band will consider putting their giant catalog back into your platform and I won’t have to use your horrible local files system.

They knew about this in 2022 and their only response was “make the playlist on your phone 🤷‍♂️ “
