Mercedes E350 skip tracks

Hello,

I just signed up for spotify premium - i plug my phone into my mercedes - spotify will play but the car controls to go to the next song don't work. How can I avoid having to open my dash board grab my phone and hit next everytime i want to play a different song?

I'm having the same problem in my new Kia Ceed, as do many others with different cars and stereos. The only official answer by a mod read:

"It might be the dock connecting to the iPhone that could be causing the problem here. While we've tried to make Spotify compatible with these docks, they may only be designed to work with the built in music player."

... which is wrong, apparently. It's a bug in their client, and to me it doesn't look like they're going to fix that soon; got no answer in my thread too (which is still on the same page, by the way).

Try Deezer, and see if that service works for you, too.
