Microphone fnction not working on my device, but working on other devices in family plan

Recently updated to 8.4.45.564, and the speech function refuses to work on either my iphone or ipad, but works fine on my mothers phone. We have a family sharing plan and she and myself are on the plan. Same iphones, same ios version, same spotify version. Can anyone help? 

To clarify, the microphone button is pushed, the "what can i play for you" page pops up, but it refuses to hear any vocal input. It's as if the mic is beoken. Mic access IS enabled for all devices, my 2 devices just don't work for some reason.

That's not cool! Spotify is always testing new features and that's why you might see different features on other accounts or devices. Check out this article for more information. If there's anything else, feel free to give me a shout! 🙂
