[Mobile][Playlists] Search bar within playlists for iPhone

There is no way to search for a song in a playlist. I saw other treads for Android and Windows but nothing for iPhones. I would love a dropdown or pinned search; it doesn't matter which.

hey,

on my iphone i'm able to access a search bar within my playlists.

open the playlist and then pull down, a search bar should appear!

Let me try again.

I just tried it, but it didn't work for me... huh, it did now... was this recently added? OH! I have mine on smart shuffle, and it won't allow it. Interesting.

Thanks for the input. That helped a lot. But now, this is an issue that needs to be fixed, lol.

Hey there @lcord,

Thanks for the post.

Can you let us know exactly what your issue with the search bar within playlists is? We'll do our best to help out.

Cheers.

Hi!

I really enjoy the additional songs that Spotify has suggested in my personal playlists, so I keep that option turned on. I realized I could not search for songs within my playlist, and it wasn't until someone else mentioned that they could search for songs that I tried disabling the Special Spotify Shuffle or whatever it's called then I was able to search for songs.

Is there any way the search bar can be applied to playlists, regardless of which specialty additions Spotify continues to come out with?

Hey @lcord

Thanks for your last reply.

The option to search for a song is hidden on phones, however, you can find it easily.

On the Playlist selected, just swipe downward (all the way) anywhere on the screen to reveal a “Find in Playlist” search bar.

From there, you'll be able to look for any song on it.

Hi!
Almost every playlist will allow this, but not when you have selected "smart shuffle".

The option is not available when "smart shuffle" is on.

Hey @Icord,

Thanks for letting us know!
If you don't mind, could you send us a short video of the search not appearing, highlighting how this works with and without "Smart Shuffle".
We'd appreciate this immensely.
Cheers!

Hey @lcord,

There seem to be no attachments or links added here.
Would you mind giving it another try?
Thanks!

2nd half - Smart Shuffle

Hey @lcord,

Thanks for your last reply.

At the moment, we can't see any multimedia (video/link) shared yet.

Remember you can attach it by using the Insert Video option in the post editor or uploading it to Google Drive and sharing the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

Take the time you need. We'll be here standing by.

Thanks! That hint solved my problem! 😄

I really like the smart shuffle feature and I like to use the search feature within a playlist a lot - so there is a dilemma... 😉
