Music is randomly pausing usually when receiving notifications

Over the passed couple weeks I’ve noticed my music randomly pausing I traced it down to every time I get a notification it pauses. And a few miscellaneous pauses in between. It started happening out of know where I have looked at my notification settings but I never changed any settings in the first place. I’m all up todate on Apple updates and Spotify updates. I’m really confused and quite annoyed if any one has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

this is also happening to me, and it would be great if somebody could help figure out why it’s happening and how to stop it

Here also ever since the Oreo update for Note 8 every single whatsapp, sms, fb  messenger or any notification causes spotify to stop.. Its almost made spotify totally unusable to me... any solutions yet?
