My iPod Isn't Showing Up Under Devices

I wanted more music on my iPod, so I figured I'd connect my iPod to my computer via USB and sync my songs from Spotify to my iPod. So, I connected my iPod to my computer and clicked devices but it did not show up and i was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this problem???

Hi @DasiaJanai - have you tried connecting with your firewall temporarily turned off?  That's an Issue I and others here have had with some firewalls.  I wouldn't think that the firewall would block communication over a usb port (as opposed to wifi), but you never know.  Also, before you put much time into it, note that unless your ipod is an ipod touch, it would only sync your non-DRMed (i.e. non-copy protected), local mp3 files that you already own, not files that come from spotify.
