Offline Playlist Suddenly Deletes All Downloaded Files

OK Im on Win10 and Android.

I have a playlist with approx 2000 files in it.  

I set it to offline and all is good.

Then suddenly, next time I go to play it, all the downloaded/offline files are not longer available (no green arrow) and I have to f*ck about downloading the files again.

Spotify appears to be getting worse.  I am seriously considering moving to another app.

I have my playlist downloaded.  Usually when I am offline I can play the selections.  This  week while on a plane, none of the downloads would play.  Kept getting the message that I was offline.  Any comments?
