Playlist pic won't change on phone

I can change my picture playlists perfectly fine on my Mac, but as soon as I open Spotify on my phone it says I don't have any picture for my playlist.  The only time it works is if I change the picture while Spotify is open on both my Mac and my phone, but as soon as I close the app and reopen it, the picture will be gone again.

I’m currently having the same exact problem. the only pattern I’ve noticed is that if you listen to the playlist on your phone while it’s open on both devices with the new picture, it should stay on your phone. I don’t know if it works fully but I’m trying it out and it’s the only solution I have right now
