Playstation 4 Spotify Connect

yesterday I tried the Spotify Connect feature on my Playstation 4 and it works fine but why does it works with 3g on my phone too? The consol and the phone aren´t then in one network or?

Spotify Connect doesn't have to be on the same WiFi network to work as long as you are signed into the same account on PlayStation and on the Spotify app on your phone.
