Podcasts I’m not subscribed to or I already listened are playing.

I regularly listen to one podcast that is only accessible on Spotify. When the episodes are finished and I don’t do anything, it either switches to another episode, which often I already listened, or to a different podcast, which I am not subscribed to (for some of them I just listened to one episode once, some of them I don’t even like). Is there a way to handle this?
I don’t mind if they are visually shown to me, but making me listen to something, when I already pay for premium, this is not wanted.

Thanks for reaching out!

Is 'Autoplay' enabled in your app settings? This will play other episodes from your podcast or different podcast suggestions after your current episode finishes.

We also have this Live Idea you can leave your vote for in case you feel like doing so 🙂
It's about separating the queues for music & podcasts as those two are often listened to in different ways.

Hi there

thanks for your answer. Yes the auto play is on, because I’m happy if when the podcast is finished, that it would go to the next non listened episode from my subscribed podcasts. But what happens is, it just brings me to a totally different one…

but I guess I’ll have to turn this off then.

Thanks for this. I had the same issue. For music, this feature is great. Sadly I don't like it for podcasts. It should be a separate feature. I don't want to listen to podcasts I have not subscribed to.  I also don't want to have to turn this feature on and off each time. 

There should be an update to address this.
