Radio stuck on loading symbol - ios 5.1.1

The spotify radio will not load on my iphone 4s running 5.1.1 nor will it give me the chance to search within the Radio tab of the app.  I'm running on AT&T 4G

 

I have tried with no success:
Launch radio from playlist

Launch radio from single song

Close all background apps

Re-install on the iphone

Hard Reset of the iphone

 

The app will play my playlists and other search music with no problem but the Radio just doesn't want to get passed the loading screen.  The radio works fine on my wife's iphone.

Still not working for me since last Friday.... I used it the first day over wifi and 3g. Worked great..Second day it started having some issues starting....then Friday all I get it the little circle going around like its trying to load on wifi and 3G. I am on IOS 5.01..It works on my desktop app. Kinda sucks being a paying customer and unable to use this new feature. Is it currently working for anyone? Did it just work for people for a day or two after you install it then stopped? Owell back to Pandora

I am also running IOS 5.01. Worked for the first day and then stopped working.

Just wanted to let you know it still doesn't work with ios6 beta 2

Same with me.  First noticed yesterday 6/26/12.  If Spotify Mobile Radio is out of commission, shouldn't we be advised?

Io6 isnt even out to the public so that is not the problem get your information correct

I have been having the same problem. The radio worked fine on Saturday June 23, but when I tried accessing it on Monday, June 25, I got the spinning wheel of death.

I'm using ios 5.0.1, and have logged out and logged back in. I've made multiple attempts using the cellular network.

I also tried using the wi-fi system just now, and that doesn't work, either.

I don't understand why Spotify would invest so heavily in publicizing this free app, and then insist that everything is "jolly good" on their system, when they're having this problem.

It's a great radio app, but frankly, I think they either don't give a **bleep** about their customers, or fail to realize that this is a public relations fiasco in the making.

I am also having the same problem. My radio wont work on 3G or WiFi. Just stuck on the loading symbol. I have tried logging out and logging back in again, and even reinstalling the app. I really hope they can fix this issue soon because I am lost at work as I have used the radio app to keep me occupied at work. I have had to resort to using Pandora, which I really do not prefer! I considered purchasing the Premium version of Spotify right before this happened, but ever since this "bug" I'm not so sure I want to anymore!!!!!

My radio is also not working via wireless connection. I'm running ios 5.1.1. It is stuck perpetually on the loading screen. All my other playlists and whatnot work fine, it's just the radio. It worked for about a day and it has not been working ever since.  

I am also facing the exact same problem. It only worked once when the feature was launched. I am using iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1. Spotify radio is a really cool feature. I wish somebody takes notice of this problem and fixes the problem soon. I can only hope one of the developers face an issue so that the issue get escalated. Spotify community managers, please take notice of this problem and help us. Thanks.

adding my name to the list. Ipad2 with wifi (no 3g/4g) running iOS 5.1.1 with the radio stuck in loading mode. No solution has fixed it. Want to go premium but not if the radio doesn't work. Thanks.

Same. I'm running iOS 5.0.1 jailbroken. I figured it was my jailbreak or an app that was causing it.

 

I tried a reinstall of the app with no joy. Lame.

 

The only way I can get it to work is on my home wifi network. If I start it at home, it will work fine as long as I stay on that radio station.

Same here. I'm a Premium subscriber. I'm running Spotify 0.5 on an iPhone 4 (ios 5.1.1) not jailbroken and my radio hasn't worked since around the end of last week. Today I have the added annoyance of the app randomly crashing on me and making me log back in while I'm searching for tracks.

 

I've submitted two tickets through the support page and received zero responses, not even an acknowledgement they received the tickets. I tried emailing support@spotify.com and got a swift response - telling me to go to the support site instead!

 

This is not the way to handle paying customers, Spotify.

Just FYI, everyone. In an act of utter desperation I deleted and reinstalled the app, and my radio seems to be working again. It's a pain to have to re-download all my offline playlists... but at least it works.

 

Not sure if that method will help the rest of you but I wanted to pass it along as a last resort.

A little background first.  I've ben a premium subscriber since day one.  I’m running iPhone 4(5.1.1).  The radio feature never worked for me over 3g from day one.  It works fine on WiFi, but never passes the loading screen when using 3g.  I tried everything from reinstalling the app, log out and login again.  i even did a clean install of IOS to make sure I had a clean install before trying the radio, nothing works.

 

Anyways, seven days ago, I opened a ticket with Spotify to get some more details on this.  I never heard anything back from them until today.  After seven days the only thing they could tell me was "Did you try to access radio over 3g from a stationary place, please make sure you have a full 3g connection".  The other issue that I see is, the person who contacted me was not aware this is a wide spread problem, and wanted me to point out where in the forum, people are complaining about this.  I obviously sent him the link to this thread.  

 

As a paying customer, seven-day delay in response with no real answer is unacceptable.  I'm really disappointed with the customer service I've received so far, and really thinking about taking my money somewhere else.   I would really like for the staff to acknowledge there is an issue and tell us what are they doing to resolve it. 

Same issue here on the Iphone4s 5.1.1. Stuck on loading symbol on both radio and the search function on both wireless and 4g networks. Worked perfect the first few days which is why I started subscribing, now I'm down to functions that I could have for free.

I received a email from Spotify about the problem:

 

Have you been able to try doing a clean reinstall? Sometimes our application needs a litte reboot.

To perform a clean reinstall all you need to do is the following:

1. Delete the Spotify application from your iPhone. To do this, press and hold the application until it hovers and then press the X symbol
2. Restart your iPhone
3. Install Spotify again from the AppStore

Well I decided to bit the bullet and loose my 13GB of downloaded songs and try...And like magic it is working so far...Not happy about having to redownload all the songs.

I just tried this using the normal shutdown process with no luck.  Do I need to do a "hard restart" for this to work?

I tried deleting the app, performing a soft reset, reinstalling over wifi, turned off wifi, logged in via Facebook over 3g and attempted to play radio with no joy.

 

Then I attempted deleting the app, performing a hard reset, reinstalling over wifi, turned off wifi, logged in via Facebook over 3g with the same result.

 

Finally, I figured it may be something with Facebook bringing the suck, so I attempted deleting the app, performing a soft reset, reinstalling over wifi, turned off wifi, logged in via spotify credentials over 3g with the same result.

 

I feel like Spotify support is grasping at straws here. 

When I did it I realized I didn't do a restart at all after I deleted it. I just went and downloaded it again and it worked??

Same issues here.  No joy on Radio with iPhone 4 and 5.0.1 (jailbroken).  Multiple reninstalls with any number of combinations of restarts (soft and hard).  Never worked on my iphone.  Am a Premium member and would like this to work on the phone.  Works great on the computer.
