Re: Spotify keeps pausing and disconnecting from bluetooth

Re: Spotify keeps pausing and disconnecting from bluetooth

I’m also having this issue. I have a IPhone 15 pro max. I had iTunes for 10 years and never had an issue. I switched to Spotify a month or so ago and all the sudden the app keeps disconnecting from my ihomes and my Apple earbuds. Same thing is happening on my wife’s phone. The app keeps disconnecting.

Hey @Commonphrases,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome. We moved your post from an old thread to give it more visibility. Hope you don’t mind.

To start investigating that odd behavior you mentioned and to make sure we've all bases covered, would you mind confirming if you've already performed a clean reinstall of the app? If not, we'd recommend following the steps mentioned in this article

If the issue persists and if possible, would you mind connecting your Bluetooth devices to another phone (different than an iPhone) and using the Spotify app to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.

Lastly, include in your next response the OS version of your iPhone, along with the Spotify version you're currently running.

We'll be on the lookout.

Hey @BertvanderVegt,

Thanks for sharing this with us! Sorry to see you've been affected by this issue as well 🙂

Could you let us know what the outcome of the troubleshooting steps mentioned by @OscarDC has been? I'm also curious to know if this behaviour has begun after a specific event like an app or OS update. Any other details you can think of will also be of help.

Much appreciated! We'll be on the lookout for your reply 🙌🏼

Hey @BertvanderVegt,

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info shared.

To continue investigating this, would you mind confirming if the issue persists if you connect the phone to your car via AUX, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi?

Also, could you confirm if the behavior persists after the clean reinstall process? If you haven't tried that yet, we'd recommend following the steps mentioned in this article.

Lastly (and if possible), could you record a short video where we can take a better look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

Let us know how it goes.
