skip limit

Hi I was wondering why I am only getting 6 skips per hour on Spotify and why when I open my app and go to play a song I can only listen to it once and most of the time with I go to play a song it plays a song from a artist and not the song I wanted and if I don’t like it I go to skip it but I don’t have any skips left so

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Sounds like you're using the free version of Spotify on your phone. The mobile app offers 6 skips per hour and doesn't fully support on-demand listening, meaning similar songs will be shuffled in along with the ones you'd like to play. Still, there are up to 15 Pick and Play Spotify playlists under the Made for You section, where you can play any track you want.

I haven't been able been able to skip a single track in TWO days and I would Spotify to justify this

Wish your algorithm would actually get to know me so I’m not force closing the app to go to YouTube when you play me 15 songs I never want to hear and only sporadically play anything I like…. Doesn’t make it worth trying to upgrade. I like when a system makes suggestions but come on why is it always mostly artists I don’t listen to/like or have never heard of

This is a horrible update. We pay for enough apps as is. You guys have apparently reinstalled this update since this thread because I was about to listen to music and skip any songs I wanted and use the app freely for the free plan for months now up until literally yesterday. I wake up today and can’t listen to the songs I pick on the app, nor can skip as many songs as I want on the web version without it saying that I can only skip six songs per hour. You guys have completely taken the app from us free users. Spotify is now no different from Apple Music this is unfair.

Does skip limit still works for free users?  I can able to skip unlimited songs in free plan. Can you please name a few tracks or playlist which has skip limit?
