Recently played artists under me tab not updating

Recently played artists under me tab not updating

Looked all over the forums for an answer. Under the me tab, my recently played artists have not updated in over three weeks. Same thing when I go to a friends profile. Is this a known issue? It seemed to happen when the the top ten track disappeared.

I have had this issue too, it has not updated in over 1 month, maybe more. I know it's cosmetic but it do is annoying.

Moreover according to this thread the issue has been out there for over 1.5 year. That's quite a long time to fix such a silly bug in my opinion.

EXACTLY!  This is a very annoying, persistent problem - especially for this Premium user.  Spotify... help!

Same problem as you and no one has a solution for it.

I listened to Anaconda when I was on a shuffle mode RAP playlist, and now my recently played artists says I've listened to Nicky Minaj, instead of Migos, Wiz Khalifa and many more that were also on that playlist

I've had the same problem ever since I've used Spotify a few years ago - on an iMac, PC, iPhone 4s, iPhone 6, and a Macbook Pro.  

Yes, that's 5 different devices, all with the same problem (even with Spotify fully updated), and I pay for the full service.

Just like a few others have noted:  I have certain artists listed in my 'Recently Played' that I maybe listened to once, not even for a full song...and yet I have artists I've listened to multiple times for hours, and they're nowhere listed.

Spotify forum mods and admins really need to address this.  

1)  Last time I noticed an update:  ~3-4 weeks ago
2)  My device(s):  PC, iMac, iPhone 4s, iPhone 6, MacBook Pro
3)  Windows 7, OSX Yosemite, various versions of iOS and OSX (occured regardless of updates)
4)  I always update my app versions, it's never fixed it



Glad to see there is another major thread about this topic (this being the other one: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Help-Desktop-Linux-Mac-Windows/Spotify-Recently-Played-Artists-not-... This is very frustrating and I get that it may be a bug which would take a bit of time to weed out, but the fact that it's seemingly impossible to reach a Spotify staff member is what really irks me. I've gone 1 month now without an update of my Recently Played Artists and this time I feel like quite a few people are having this problem whereas in the past it seemed like just a handful. I know all my friends are having it at least. Hopefully it gets moved to the top of the "things-to-fix" list at Spotify HQ.

Same here, going on a month now. Contacted Spotify last week and got this response "We apologize for the inconvenient. We'll sort this out soon." And asked some general questions for more detail.

Hey guys, I've re-flagged this with the Spotify staff. They are going to push this back to the relevant team members, we will let you know when there is an update. Please just hang on tight for the moment.

I'm having this problem as well! It's been around a month since my recently plaed artists has updated.

I have the same problem, during the last month it hasn't changed at all.

Same problem for awhile now. Hope it gets fixed soon.

I've has this same issues for the last month- month plus... on all my devices!  Not only is "recently played" not updating, i've also noticed that "public playlist" isn't either.   I've tired all the usual to resolved this issues - updated, uninstalled, reinstalled (on all devices), restarted, logged out.. i've tried everything and nothing has worked. It's irritating.

My music taste changes quite fast, would be nice for it to update, but it hasn't for like 4 weeks now..
What is actually causing this?

Thanks swanny! This probably wouldn't bother me at all if it hadn't stopped updating at the exact same time I was secretly listening to the Pitch Perfect 2 sound track on repeat for days on end.

Please Spotify Moderator come and address this problem in this forum to let us know you're on top of it and what seems to be the hold up and when it's likely to get fixed.
