My Question or Issue

Shazam is synching new Shazams to my playlist on Spotify, but not my previously existing ones.

I have already disconnected and reconnected my Spotify and Shazam accounts, deleted old/empty "My Shazam Tracks" playlists, performed a clean reinstall of Spotify, reinstalled Shazam, restarted my iPhone, cleared my Spotify cache, and offloaded both Shazam and Spotify in my iPhone Settings.

When I do all of that and re-link my Shazam and Spotify accounts, the "My Shazam Tracks" playlist has 0 songs in it, even after hours of waiting for it to update. In the Shazam app, I have 665 Shazams.

Hello,

The link between shazam and spotify worked for few weeks then the button to link my shazam account to spotify just disapear completely.

This is so bad, this fonctionnality is basicaly the beat reason why shazam is useful.

Please sort it, most of all because it looks like this is an old recurent unsolved problem.

Hey @Doubidoo,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

To continue with the troubleshooting, we'd recommend checking first if both apps have all the permissions granted and if they're on the last update. If so, we'd suggest unlinking the apps from your Account page following the steps of this article. After that, restart your device and link the accounts back again.

If that doesn't do the trick and you’re using an Android device, take a look at this FAQ about Shazam and its integrations for more info.

Hope this helps. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

I finally have a fix, change to A¶¶le music. Shazam links to that no problem.

No one wants to use Apple Music. There should be a fix for Spotify

Older song stored into the Shazam account are not syncronized at today. No fix and not awareness by spotify support. Probably I'll go back to Apple Music.

My experience with spotify is less than stellar... If it's broken, don't fix it but say is a feature.

Your devs clearly are capable of good work, the public is clear about what they want. Why not put one and one together?

**bleep**, fix this and I may even resubscribe after having dropped out after our previous experience with your user appreciation.

Edit: Seriously? Bleeped for h*e*l*l?

I think it’s been four years now people have been asking. It’s a joke.

Spotify is a lame duck

this is not the first happening on problems. and the way how they mismanage a better user experience. although the community is up to help solve things and is up to give improvement hints and wishes. no. not taking serious. letting these problems live on for years! i'm really angry about your manner, Spotify!

 and your favourite face-saver:

"there are not enough votes."

...closing suggestions who exist for years and who are opened again and again.

of course they don't reach your preconditions if you close them regularly!

and don't take a look on the sum of ALL representing subjects.

 this is poor.

and i'm asking myself for years (!) why i'm still paying your services.

you really don't take care of your community.

the base of your monthly income and of whom you're able to pay your rent, food and bills.

i'm really angry every time I open up this forum oO

i would't have rest in my job if i'd work like this.

like attackmonkeygo said: it's a real bad joke. frustrating. sad.

this time i think about moving my family account to the competitors. 15 bucks per month, 150,- per year.

not worth for spotify, of course, to think about making support more efficiently.

probably there would have to switch ten thousand users and a factor of this more.

 it's all about the money

It is indeed a pity that Spotify is not taking this matter seriously…

There is an intermediate solution for the ones who decided not to switch to Apple Music - There is an online service called Soundiiz.

1) You export your Shazamed songs using the web page into a csv file.

2) You import this as a Playlist in Soundiiz.

3) You connect Soundiiz with Spotify and the sync the newly imported playlist with a playlist of your choice in Spotify.

Service is free for up to 200 songs and you can decide if you wish to pay 4.5$ or you can just repeat the steps X number of times with an increment of 200 and then merge all sync playlist into one.

Hope that helps someone:)

It's because they have no interest in making it work with Spotify. They just want Apple Music.

Same problem. + 400 tracks lost from my favourite playlist🙄

still not fixed?

Nope☹️

Can shazam not act like the worst developers in the world and fix this?

Still nothing?? Its not that hard to add functionality back in which was already there… it’s been years. Thought Spotify were supposed to be leading the charge with Agile methodology practices

When do you plan to solve this problem?

Seriously?

  1. literally 😭 like how can i add 200+ songs to a playlist manually

It is Jan 3rd 2024, still this is an issue. 😞

yes, I came here for the same reason. Can't believe that an issue that users have been complained about during years, there isn't still any step nor solution from Spotify, honestly
