Shuffle Toggle not there

I have Spotify free on an iPhone 8 with the newest iOS. My brother also has free but uses an android that is most up to date. For some reason I am unable to toggle on/off my shuffle.( I don’t have the button) While my brother has the button to do so. Can anyone help me? I want to not have to shuffle all my playlists.

Thanks for reaching out to us about this - we'll be glad to help you out here.

Keep in mind that Shuffle play is the default playback mode on a free Spotify account.   

If you’re Premium you can listen to what you want, when you want. Select any track from a playlist or album, or play the opening track and Spotify will automatically play the remaining tracks in the order they’re listed. You have the option to Shuffle with Premium as well.

Can you explain to me why my brother on his iPad is able to choose to shuffle or not? Same with my laptop, I am able to select shuffle or not. All of the devices I have are using the free version.
