Shuffle is always on

This cropped up just recently. Every album I play on my iPhone is in Shuffle Play mode, so I can't play an album in the proper sequence. I figured it was just a toggle, but when I press Shuffle Play, that doesn't turn it off. What's up?

Are you on a premium subscription? Free users currently are only able to use shuffle mode.

In case you are a premium user: click on the cover art at the bottom of the screen and the music player will pop up. Now push the shuffle icon on the bottom until it turns grey. See this picture (it's the green icon):

But if you don't have a subscription it's just as Jordi said: You can't turn shuffle off, it's a premium only feature.
