Can you try logging out, restarting your phone, and logging back in? It's also worth restarting the app twice in a row. This may sound odd, but it's how the app does a resync.
If this doesn't change anything, can you let us know if the Shuffle works fine on your phone when not connected to the car?
Additionally, can you try with another type of connection, like USB or AUX cable, and let us know if this behavior persists?
