Some offline downloaded songs randomly disappear

My Question or Issue

 Some of my songs downloaded and saved for offline listening randomly disappear.

Ive read a lot online and it’s not my entire offline list disappears like some people say, so it’s not that problem and it’s not when an artist removes songs or albums from Spotify.

it SEEMS to be songs I haven’t listened to in a while just aren’t downloaded anymore. 

Over the past 4-5 years I’ve noticed this perhaps 10 times. Entire playlists, albums, mixed playlists etc just not downloaded anymore. And I only notice when I’m on holiday and actually care about offline playlists (I listen to mostly the same stuff on the tube so that’s fine). 

Ive got the iPhone 256gb with 170gb free, so it’s 100% not a space problem.

this is incredibly annoying, anyone have any ideas?

I’d recommend checking out the "Downloads unexpectedly removed" section of the "Listen offline troubleshooting" support article for some more help with this.

If the article doesn't help I recommend keeping your app updated with a clean reinstall and avoiding any cache-clearing apps. I'd also recommend updating to iOS 12.0.1 🙂
