Suddenly, which I click the home button in the Spotify app, I can see the home screen for a brief second and then get the “something went wrong” error. Pressing the TRY AGAIN button does nothing. I’ve restarted my phone/the app several times to no effect. It was working fine a few moments ago, and then just all of a sudden started having issues.

This has been going for a time to me, but today it seems**bleep** hit the fan
Excellent point about the lack of communication. As I was taught in a great U.S. company, it’s called managing people’s expectations.
Same. I hoping with enough comments on here about the same issue that they will fix it soon.
LOL
The thread started 2 hours ago and people are complaining there's no communication... This is crazy right? When a major system issue happens, do we REALLY expect a fix within a few hours? No need to test an update in other countries to see if it breaks further functionality? I get it, this is frustrating, but in all seriousness, these are real people working on a fix. It also takes time to run quality and analysis to understand root cause before a fix can be implemented.
I do really hope there is attention on this and we'll hear something back from Spotify shortly. But from my experiences, I wouldn't expect a fix for at least a few days.
Good luck, and let me know if there is a way of gathering logs to help diagnosis the issue quicker.
Thanks,
Tony
theres really no excuse for a lack of communication. sure a fix takes time, but no one at spotify has two minutes to post a global message about this outage so people don't continue to spam this forum and their twitter page? common that is IT service delivery 101.
I don't expect a fix in a few hours but what i do expect is proper testing before an update is released in to production. And with how wide-spread this is, i would think it's safe to assume that something crucial was missed on their part.
same thing here, **bleep**ing**bleep** spotify im about to delete the **bleep** out of this app and stop paying for it.....................................WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
@tly734 It's not about them fixing it quickly. Good tech companies have a status page that shows that they have noticed issues and are fixing it. That's not a HUGE expectation.
Embarassing on Spotify's part.
Having issues on both iOS Spotify app and Windows (10) app.
Home tab displays "Please try again later."
Browse tab displays "There was a problem displaying this page."
Made For You tab displays "Please try again later."
Same issue - what kind of change management process does Spotify follow before deployments? Most of us wouldn't have a job!
Same problem here! Fix it Spotify!!!
Wait, you think it should be expected for a major media company like Spotify, with something like 220 million users, to take days to fix a service outage? You think it should be accepted that a company that big can't immediately correct problems like this? Come on.
Same here. Happening on my phone and my Mac. I have restarted the app, my devices, uninstalled and re-installed, logged out and back in. Huge pain, as now I have to re-download everything I had before.
*UPDATE*
Home page still broken. However clicking on any album from searching or within my library now brings it up and allows me to play songs. It was just a black screen before. we're getting there....
EDIT: forgot to mention i did nothing i hadn't already done. it just started working all of a sudden.

It took almost five hours from the start of the outage for them to even post a message to their Twitter account. Maybe it's a difficult fix, but they clearly couldn't be bothered to even let their customers know they're aware of it. That's what's unacceptable.
Same here. This problem has been going on for a long time as can be seen from the numerous threads going back at least to last year complaining about it. When will SPOTIFY acknowledge their product is BROKEN and needs to be FIXED? WHEN? SPOTIFY? WELL, WE'RE WAITING.....
The issue appears to be resolved for me as of 1:55 PM CDT
POSSIBLE FIX FOUND!!!!
This happened to me as well.
From what I can tell, this may be an issue with an app authentication. Try revoking all app permissions. From a desktop, click on your username, hit "view account", navigate to "apps", click "remove access" on everything.
After you do this, you will have to reauthorize all your apps again. As you are reauthorizing your apps, keep a spotify payer open and on the home menu (mobile or desktop doesnt matter). watch to see if it gives an error. If it does, then there is an issue with that particular app integration. If you don't get an error, you're good to go.
Hope this helps.

Not sure if this was on Spotify's side, but I now have access to my home screens on all my devices! Kudos for the speedy fix Spotify!
It appears to be working for me again as well. Thanks for getting this resolved, Spotify!
