Song distortion with iPhone

Song distortion with iPhone

All of my songs are distorted when playing through the dock on my iPhone 5. I have iOS 7.1.1 installed.

It sounds similar to when the volume level is too loud (pre-amped) before going into the dock.

Music sounds AWFUL and I can't stand listening to it right now.

Can you play music from another source (YouTube, local files, etc.) and confirm that they sound normal when played through the dock?

Also, what equipment are you connecting your iPhone to?

Perhaps your dock amplify the sound to the maximum thats why it happens? The Spotify mobile client works fine.

I randomly had this issue once, too. I restarted my phone and uninstalled/reinstalled Spotify and everything to no avail. Then it randomly started to sound alright again. It might've been some temporary hardware issue from me dropping my phone or bringing it into the bathroom while I took a shower or something? Never really figured it out haha

@user-removed I used to have a minor problem -- exactly the same, during shower too. I usually attribute this problem to the misty environments which caused that.

But in the recent Spotify iOS update, didn't have this problem anymore.

Only happens in Spotify attached to the iPhone dock for my car, VW Jetta.

iTunes works normally, YouTube is normal... its only Spotify that has this problem.
