Songs that say there downloaded wont play when offline

Songs that say there downloaded wont play when offline

Hello,

If anyone could give me some poiners on my situation i would greatly appriciate it.

When i download a song onto my phone from spotify parts of sertain songs will download. For example there was a song that i wanted downloaded on my phone called So Good. So i went to the playlist that i had created with the song on it and switched the download bar. i waited a few seconds for the song to download and I also waited for the green arrow pointing up to appearer. I then went to settings on spotify and switched spotify to offline mode. I then went back to the playlist and cliked on the song So Good. after listening to 5 seconds into the song, the song completely stopped, to were no audio was coming out of my speakers. I checked to see if the sound bar was moving but it was not. I then swipped the sound bar to the left and right, did nothing. I then moved the sound bar more than half way though the song and the song came back on and then after 20 seconds or so the song stoped along with the soundbar. My guess is that the song is not properly downloading to the phone there are sertain sections in the song that will play but not the whole song. I do not experience this with every song. I had a playlist with 100 songs and 30 songs out of the playlist eather wouldnt play at all or play half way or a quarter of the way and stop.

I have an Iphone 5s with IOS 10 with spotify version 9.6

Thanks!! 🙂

Hi @121100, two ideas: 1) have you reached your song download limit 2) are you attempting to download over 3G/4G/LTE? Spotify can sometimes be set to only DL songs when WiFi enabled.
