My Question or Issue

Whenever I search for music, if it is not a popular song or something I have on one of my playlists, it is common for the song to just never play.

Examples:
Lady Gaga - Alejandro: (I queued the song and it just never played, nor would it play when I clicked on it in the search screen. I made sure I wasn't clicking on the Album, but was clicking on the song.)

Armin Van Buren ASOT 676 and 677: Neither of this will play I can play the song I have downloaded from them, but nothing else. 

 

Yes I just updated the app this morning and the issue still persists. When this happens, the playbar at the bottom of the screen disappears and no music plays. The song never plays even if I wait for it to load, and the issue does not seem to be specific to wifi or cell connectivity. Seems to be specific only to music that I don't have in a playlist and search to find.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. We're happy to help.

 

In this case we suggest that you perform a clean reinstall of the app. This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

 

If that doesn't do the trick, can you let us know if this occurs on one specific device or multiple devices?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Hi Jeremy! Thank you for replying. 

 

This used to happen on all my devices, but since the redesign of the spotify app for windows, I have only experienced this on my iPhone 11pro. 

 

I ended up shutting down the app and restarting my phone, and this seemed to work. If the issue persists and that does not fix it in the future, I will perform the clean reinstall. I just don't want to have to wait to redownload all the music I have saved on my iPhone at this time. If after these steps, the issue persists, I will follow up.

We're glad to hear the app is back to normal after restarting your phone. 

 

Just make sure to save the link that @Jeremy shared to perform a clean reinstall in case you need it, and always keep your app updated 🙂
