My Question or Issue
Very often, all of my Sonos devices are missing from my Spotify App. However, Airplay sees all of the devices with that enabled when selecting that option in the App. This is the same for my iPhone and Macbook.
I can play music from Spotify from Sonos, that link works fine. Everything is on the same network because it works from Sonos to Spotify but not Spotify to Sonos.
For no reason I can understand, my speakers might just appear in Spotify after a while.
I have tried disabling wifi, disabling all wireless interfaces, closing the app, power cycles and so on. It happens exactly the same from multiple devices. I still have Spotify enabled to use mobile data from a previous issue that had similar symptoms. Seems like an App issue as I can replicate this on multiple devices. Any help for consistent device listing would be mush appreciated.
And an even more weird update.
Suddenly my Macbook can see the two rooms (not all of them) with Sonos speakers, I start playing music to the speakers interrupting an Airplay session. My phone can't see any Sonos devices except it does know that it is playing to one of them. The iPhone can see no Sonos speakers but knows that the PC is playing to one. When, suddenly, the Sonos speakers appear to the Spotify App on the PC.
I'm having the same problem. Do you have any updates?
Hey folks,
Thanks for reaching out to us 🙂
Can you give these steps a go and run a clean reinstall? This one is more thorough than the usual one. By doing this you can make sure the app is up-to-date and the cache is not causing any issues.
It's also a good idea to try with another account. That way we can check if it's an account-related issue. Are there any changes?

Nope it did not resolve the issue. What a f surprise... 😊
Right now none of the devices - laptop, Android phone, iPhone 12, iPad, all-in-one PC - can see the Sonos Beam as a device, only the Apple products via AirPlay.
This comes very often, and now we're living in a world, that this issue is still presented for months now.
It's kinda boring the reinstall, factory reset everything in you audio system, and nothing really happens. I honestly do not know which Sonos or Spotify internal special team - ohh sorry, Tribe - is responsible for the Sonos-Spotify compatibility, but actually it drives me crazy, cause this is the only fact and service, why I bought this overpriced system.
So someone please raise this bug and let me and the whole community know, when you desire to resolve this issue. 😊
Hi there @Gtothy,
Thank you for your reply and for the troubleshooting you've done so far. We're sorry to see that you've been having these issues. Let's continue to investigate this together 🙂
To start with, can you make sure that you're on the same network and confirm if it makes a difference if you have separate 5GHz and 2.4GHz connections?
You can also check the DNS setting that we explain here.
We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
Have a great continued weekend!
