Spoitfy disappears from lock screen when paused

I am strongly thinking about switching from apple music to spotify, but I noticed something weird.

As long as music is playing I can control my music over the lock screen which is nice, but the moment I pause, the lock screen controls disappear.

In constrast, apple music stays there even if I pause the music. and later in my car it contitunes to play. ... I noticed the same with google music. But with spotify I have to unlock my phone again and open the spotify again.

Same problem. 😞 I pause the song and when I swipe down to play it again it’s gone. I have to go back to the app.
