Spotify 1.7.0 crashing on sync

Just added some new local files to my starred playlist yesterday, and app was crashing when I tried to sync (about 12 songs?)

 

Then today the same was happening, reinstalled the app, synced all the spotify tracks fine, then tried to sync the local files (approx 150), it made it until the last 60 before crashing. Since then it syncs a couple at a time, before crashing up until the last ~45, and now it crashes immediately upon opening the app. 

 

Any ideas/help would be appreciated!

Have the same issue. Updated my phone to iOS8 and now Spotify will not open. It acts like it will but after trying to load for a few seconds just closes out. 

 

I've un installed and reinstalled numerous times

Un installed, hard restart (as in erased my entire phone and reinstalled everything), re installed

Un installed, restart, re installed

 

 

Any other combinations I can try?

Sorry to see this. What's happening exactly? 

SInce the i phone iOS 8 software update downloaded to my 4s, spotify wont open or work.  I re installed 3 times and nothing.  Plus im a premium member. I have have not been able to use my spotify on phone in 5 days.  How can this be fixed?  Is there a update soon?

What exactly do you mean when you say it doesn't work? 

 

- Are you able to log in?

- Are you able to listen to music?

- Does the app crash?

 

The more info, the better!

Indeed I did receive an email informing me that I would be receiving a refund for one months worth of service.

 

I responded asking if I would receive a refund for the 3 premium memberships I pay for each month.

 

Its been 3 days with no response.

It goes to load up with the spotify loading screen for about ten seconds then minimizes for about 5 seconds only to go back to spotify logo screen before finally crashing.  

Latest version running on both iOS 7 & 8 on an iPhone 5s, crashes on start up and is only fixed by reinstall. I have been using the 'Available Offline Only' filter as I have so many playlists it is rather difficult to manage without that filter. Fix please!

 Hahahaah don't get your hopes up.

I kept telling them to send me a refund form or a contact for someone important in the billing department so they just ignored me.

I've only had worse customer service from government departments.

 

 

 

 

 

Here is an email I got from Spotify a few days ago. They didn't specify if they were going to refund all three of the premium accounts I pay for, or just one. They simply won't answer that question.

We have in fact encountered a few unforeseen problems with our app in conjunction Apple's new iOS release.

Not to worry we are working on a fix and as soon as we get this we will get it straight over to Apple to approve this for distribution.

Thanks for your patience with this, for your trouble I have refunded you a months payment.

Hello. Unfortunately, this is not a reliable solution.

Process:
1. Complete uninstall of the app from my phone
2. Power off phone
3. Power on phone
4. Reinstall app

I am able to access the app at what seems like random times, but crashes regularly. Currently, I am unable to access the app. The laod screen appears for approximately 3 seconds and the app crashes. The app can be seen as running in the background, but selecting the app only restarts the loading/ crash process.

Hello again.

I am continuing to experience the same problems I have described above. I feel that there is a problem with the software, possibly as a result of the update, as the update coincided with my (and others within the community) issue.

Is there a plan of action/ time frame for this issue to be corrected?

Additionally, what compensation will be provided as a result of being denied access to the service?

My app to my Iphone 5 keeps crashing

I can't sync nor listen anymore. 

This problem started to occure when I updated to the latest update 1.7.1.

I have iOS 7 at the moment.

 

Please help me because I use Spotify on a regular basis and it would be such a shame to stop using your products!

 

I can also say I've:

1. Chaged region to see if it works, which it don't.

2. I've reinstalled both my Spotify on my iPhone and computer, but it seems like it doesn't work either.

3. I've turned off the offline mode, which doesn't work either.

So I just found this on twitter and it actually works.. 

 

If Spotify is crashing at startup on iOS8, try changing your phone's Settings > Language & Region to another country, then change back

 

 

That doesn't work!!

The Spotify developers are currently working on a fix that should be in an update coming soon. Keep checking back for updates.
