Spotify Locking up after switching back to it from another app

My Question or Issue

When I am listening to the Joe Rogan podcast and I click on a notification on my phone which brings me to another app, the podcast continues playing as it should. But when I enter back into the app, the video screen turns black and the app locks up. Every time, I have to close out of Spotify and open it back up.

We tried this form our end and we couldn't replicate the same behavior.

To start with, can you make sure there's no old cache files that might be causing this by following the steps in this article?

On another note, it's always good to make sure that there's no pending OS updates.
