My Question or Issue

My Spotify app on iPhone is showing local files that I do not have on my iPhone files app. The cover arts on some of my local files are not working and I am trying to fix it by deleting the file and re-uploading it, but when I delete the file from my Files app on my iPhone, the file still shows up in the local files folder on Spotify and says "Song Not Downloaded" which I have attached an image of. Is there any fix for this?

Hey @jordanb_11, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵

Do you have these songs on your computer? If so this could just be a sync issue since the local files feature has been updated recently. Since you have tried removing the files and adding them again, I would recomend the following:

  1. Remove the local files from your iPhone files app.
  2. Open Spotify and turn off local files feature.
  3. Log out of the Spotify app and perform a clean-install using this guide.
  4. Log into your account and enable local files. The local files playlist on your iPhone should be empty at this point.
  5. Copy the files again and see if that works.

The metadata issue could be related to the source from where you downloaded the files, if there is a compatiblity issue you could try redownloading the files. Let me know how it goes. 🙂

Hi Amay,

Reinstalling the app and redownloading the files worked.

Thanks!
