Is this cached content? How can I free this space? Like I said, I don't have any offline songs, so why does the app take 1GB of space?!

That is cached content. You can clear the space it by reinstalling the Spotify app. Here's some more information on that. Let me know how it goes.

It worked! I hope Apple implement a feature to clear an app's cache in a future iOS release.

This is just the data what spotify free collects from you and saves or uploads it just go to options and delete files and re install it if you want

Spotify app takes 1GB of space but I don't have any downloaded songs
