Spotify continues to drop on ipod touch

My spotify app keeps dropping every time I start it up whenever I'm connected to wifi or connected to a docking station. At best I'll be able to play half a song then the app completely closes or freezes up.

When the ipod is not connected to wifi, the app is temperamental. Sometimes I'll be able to play up to 3 songs and the app drops, and on good days I'll be able to play a number of albums.

I have a 8GB ipod touch

Spotify premium

Apparently 6.25 TBs are used and 0.57 TBs are free

Any help is greatly appreciated.
