This issue in already under investigation.

Take a look at this ongoing issues report. You'll find furture updates on this report.

Same problem with me too - brand new iPad Pro (received yesterday)...

But I've also had a few other problems with the iPad (not necessarily Spotify related)

Calling Apple Support tomorrow to address both Spotify + iOS issues

The iPad Pro crash has been fixed in version 4.4 which was just released today:
