Spotify disconnects from chromecast audio after 30ish seconds

Every time. I basically cannot use it. It works with my chromecast hooked up to the tv, but the audio one is useless. other apps stream fine so I know it's spotify. I'm on ios10 and have the most recent spotify. I've tried uninstalling, rebooting the chromecast audio, etc, etc

I have to force close the spotify app one or twice every time i want to connect it to Chrome Cast Audio, it can't find the Chromecast, drops connection often etc..

Non of the other Chrome Cast app i use have these problems.

I'm having the same problems as above. I live on a college campus and use wifi networks that are open to all students, staff, etc., so I thought that may have been the issue, but it had been working fine until recently and reading this thread makes me confident that there is an issue with current Spotify software and/or Chromecast firmware. I'm going to create a post in the Ideas forum about fixing these bugs.

Same issue here. Both gadgets on latest firmware but after 30 minutes. Contact lost with Spotify. Please HELP. When it works its great.

driving me up the wall too.

latest android on a samsung s6 using my home wifi and chromecast2....have to reconnect at least 5-10 times a day. and sometmes take ages to reconnect and i have to restart my phone.

I'm having an open issue with Spotify support now, after a couple of "use a webrowser to check you can connect to the internet " & "Turn it off and back on" they're having me trying their test account now.
