Soundhoud Connect to Spotify really doesn't work as advertised

I am not sure this was really tested because it doesn't work worth a darn. On my iPhone 5S nothing works as shown on the pages to connect Soundhound with Spotify.

Local files not syncing

Not sure what's going on, trying to sync local files. Devices are on the same network but it's just not happening. IOS 10, latest version of spotify PC: Windows 10, latest version. Local files work on PC but on mobile it's just stuck on "downloading"
