Spotify doesn't pause when disconnecting from Echo Auto (when the car turns off)

My Question or Issue

I just bought an Echo Auto, connected it to my car, and set it up in the app. I have Spotify set as my default music player in Alexa, so when I ask her to play music it plays from Spotify. However, when I turn my car off, the music keeps playing and will eventually switch over to my phone speaker and continue playing. I've never had this behavior with any other Bluetooth device, so I don't know if this is because of iOS (I'm on the public beta), Spotify, or if it's just a result of the way the Echo Auto loses power when the car shuts off.
