Spotify keeps opening when connected to USB in car

For some reason whenever my phone is connected to the usb port of my mini convertible, spotify keeps opening even after i have closed the app. I have tried this on multiple phones and its doing the same on them all. Anybody have any ideas as i would like to use my phone whilst driving (passenger!) - this has literally just started happening.

Just to confirm, is the Spotify app preventing you from using any other functions on the phone? We'd also like to know if this only happens when connected via USB or also with any other type of connection, like an AUX cable or Bluetooth.

If i try to use another app Spotify keeps opening. Its only via usb with bluetooth on and off.

Could you let us know if the car mode is enabled in the app settings? If so, could you try disabling it to see how it works?
