Spotify not accepting .wav files

I've tried multiple times to transfer .wav files into my local files, but they never show up even though they are a supported option. I haven't had this issue with flac or mp3.

What device are you using to upload the Local Files? Bear in mind that you can only upload files formats that your device supports. So are you able to play the WAV files from the device natively? If not, you'll need to convert them to one that is supported and then upload them as Local files on Spotify.

If your device supports the format, let us know the exact make, model, OS and Spotify version you're running.

Hi! I'm using an IPhone 15, and it is able to play the WAV files. The Spotify version is 9.0.50.511. The make is IPhone 15, the model number is A2846, and the OS is 18.5.

At the moment, .wav files are supported only on the desktop app. We’re regularly looking for opportunities to enhance the user experience for everyone though, so your feedback on this is greatly appreciated.

In the meantime, you can try converting the files to .mp3 or .flac - that should do the trick. Also, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.
