Spotify not detecting my wifi

My spotify does not detect wifi at all, only mobile data.
It is not a problem with my wifi, because even when I connect to wifi at different locations, spotify still cannot detect it and says there is no network connection. The only way to use it on my phone is to turn off wifi and use my mobile data, which is obviously draining my mobile data.

If I could please get some help to fix this issue, it would be much appreciated!

have you tried to reinstall you Spotify app like shown here?
