Spotify on iPad with HTTPS Proxy

Spotify on iPad with HTTPS Proxy

I'm having some trouble getting my iPad to connect to Spotify at my office. A direct connection (Proxy off) fails, most likely because the firewall rejects HTTP connections to ports other than 80 and 443. We have an HTTPS Proxy we can set things to connect through if a connection to HTTP ports other than 80 and 443 has to be made.

Except I can't get Spotify to play nice with the proxy. If I set the wifi connection to use our Proxy Auto-Config (PAC) URL, Spotify cannot connect. If I directly put in the address and port of the proxy sever, Spotify WILL connect but then I can't access internal resources on the office network since all traffic goes to the proxy. The PAC URL provides exceptions for internal addresses, but for some reason Spotify will not use the proxy when I use the PAC URL.

Any ideas for how to make this work?
