Spotify only shuffling small portion of large playlists

My Question or Issue

when shuffling a long playlist, spotifybisnonly gradsing 100 or so songs rather than shuffling the entire list. This first started happening several days ago, before that it would shuffle the whole list and continue seamlessly. It has also started going back to the beginning of the shuffle if I try to add a song to the queue or pause the playlist (for example, if I turn off my car, go into a store with my phone, and return and turn on music again). If I get to the end of the songs it chose to shuffle, it will either restart or just stop playing. I have tried logging out on all devices and restarting my devices.
