Spotify playback controls issue (Premium not working properly?)

I recently just obtained Spotify's family package. I managed to activate it successfully, but something's wrong.

My account got changed to Premium, and I can choose whatever song I want to play, I can download songs to make them available offline, and there are no ads during playback.

However, I can't controls songs during playback. I can't go to the previous song, I can't fast forward the song, I can't drag the slider on the duration. Also, once when I started up the app I saw an ad asking me to upgrade to Premium.

Did my Premium only work halfway or what?
