Spotify playlist through Iphone 5 connected to BMW X3 stops after 10 minutes

If I connect my Iphone (with Spotify playlists) to my connected drive BMW X3 (new) the music stops automatically after 10 minutes. After pushing radio and media it continues till the next 10 minutes are past. How to solve?

I had the same problem.I drive a BMW 3-F30 model(2013) and my spotify sessions stops after 10minutes. I always had to push the button to connect my Iphone again and the screen always says that the title is unknow,correct? I recently found a solution:

Before you get into your car, open your spotify and play an random song and then close it back again. Then get into the car and connect your phone with the orginal lighting iphone cable.After being connected with the apple cable,start your spotify session up(not before) again and normally you would see the photograph of the song you played before you enter the car or the song name/artist. You would still have scroll the songs/playlist on your phone,but the audio will not stop after 10minutes. For me it works and I had to look long for it. Off course, I m not sure if it depends on software upgrades like IOS 10. If it works for you,great, but for example, if you have to pull your cable out off your Iphone during driving just do the same procedure. Start spotify again wihout connecting the phone to the cable and play a random song.Close it back again after a few seconds. The connected the cable back again and normally you would see the title of the song you just played random on your phone.
