PS Just merged some threads together so we can troubleshoot in one spot. Thanks guys!

Just wanted bump this threah as im having issues as well. I've been using Spotify for a while now, with my iPod. But after having a PC upgrade, i've come across some problems. One of them was about local files not playing (which is resolved now), but now when i finally try to sync my local files with my iPod, Spotify keeps crashing.

I've restored my iPod with iTunes first, then closed iTunes, opened spotify, selected sync iPod in Spotify... But when i click "Manually choose playlists to sync" and untick "Local Files", Spotify just crashes. The reason i want to untick Local Files, is because i've made playlists of my favorite albums, so i can sync whichever album im currently into. This has worked before!

Info:
Im running latest Spotify (0.9.1.53.g876fa9df)
Windows 7 Professional 64bit, Sp1

iPod Nano 4th gen (oldie!)

Im currently syncing whatever Spotify in syncing on my iPod and im waiting for it to be full. Maybe after that I can select specific playlists. I've tried openening spotify and unticking Local Files 10 times already, but that didn't work...

I'm having the exact same problem. iPod Nano, try to change selection to manually select which playlists to sync and Spotify crashes every single time. I've tried 2 clean reinstalls of Spotify and it simply won't work. Is Spotify just choosing to ignore this issue?

I have the exact same issue with my ipod nano

Does forcing Spotify into offline mode (File > Offline Mode) and then connecting the iPod make any difference?

I'm having the exact same (frustrating) problem

Same problem here with a 5th Gen iPod. Crashes when selecting Manual Mode and when I finally got it to manual mode (by selecting offline mode first then connecting the iPod) I now am getting the crash when deselecting the local music...

Here you go, the error that happens when it's in the processing of automatically syncing, then you select "manual" (iPod Nanos, multiple models):

5/25/14 6:58:05.623 Spotify[39243]: Spotify(39243,0xa12af1a8) malloc: *** error for object 0x159a0100: pointer being freed was not allocated
*** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
Also, is there a way to stop and in process sync?

Yes, it does not crash anymore. Only when it's offline mode.
